Ours to explore. Ours to share. Ours to protect.
Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is the only registered charity dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of Metro Vancouver’s regional parks.
In the fall of 2000, a committed group of community volunteers came together to create the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation. Their vision was to help make Metro Vancouver Regional Parks the best that they can be. After almost two decades of operation the Foundation continues to support this mission by raising funds, distributing grants and scholarships, building partnerships and sharing the stories of our Regional Parks. This partnership between community volunteers and Metro Vancouver continues to create unique opportunities for the enhancement of our parks for the enjoyment of all.
There are 23 regional parks, 2 ecological conservancy areas, 3 regional park reserves and 5 regional greenways in and around the Lower Mainland. From the famous Pacific Spirit Regional Park to hidden treasure like the Capilano River Regional Park, each is a place of wonder and discovery.
People love our regional parks. We encourage you to visit these natural jewels and share with us why you love regional parks.
